We had an awesome holiday, the kids had so much fun!
DJ got an electric scooter/moped, a new helmet, a digital camera (from my parents), and Star Wars Lego's.....just to name a few.
Avery and Emmy got an indoor slide and a huge blow up bouncy ball pit from Uncle Al, Chris was not amused with inflating that sucker.
Avery got a scooter (she calls it a "tooter scooter"), a HUGE barbie dollhouse, and Barbie dolls.
Emmy got a tricycle, dolls, doll furniture and some educational toys.
This is just some of what they got.....the kids made out well.
It was fun watching them open their gifts.....it was not fun for me and Chris to break open the packaging so they could play with their toys.
There is no need to tape metal twisty ties which have been KNOTTED (what is this about?!), let alone have the toy in 3 layers of plastic on top of cardboard, with elastic bands on all it's appendages.....
We managed to break the toys free and spent the day playing with the toys, eating and visiting with family, it was nice.
Santa brought me a beautiful new Coach bag, perfume and facial products........Santa brought Chris new clothes, a new coat, cologne and a new wallet......we must have been good this year!
Presently, there is absolutely no sign of Christmas at my house.....I have put away all of the toys, the trash and recycle has been picked up and I spent Wednesday packing up all of the Christmas decorations and tree. We start Christmas prep early and enjoy it right up until Christmas, but once it has passed.....I am done.
It is nice to have things back to normal.
Now its time to get my resolutions in order for 2008....one of which will be NO RETAIL THERAPY!!!!!

I agree with you...I hate those twisty things. Why do they do that? We are done with Christmas too - its nice to have the house back in semi-order. So when can we come play?
