Where is her big, black bouffant?

A newly blond Amy Winehouse....not the best look for her.

I wish that she had a reality show...I'd totally watch it religiously!

hmmmm, another one.....

TMZ.com is reporting that the divorce between Pamela Anderson and Rick Salomon is back on…and that Pamela is pregnant! TMZ doesn’t say how they know this info, but sound quite sure of themselves.
You may remember that Pamela and Rick started their divorce process on December 17, but quickly reconciled. The pair were seen shopping later that day, and then did a fair amount of partying in the following days.
Rick has reportedly told friends that Pamela’s recent craziness is a result of the pregnancy and he hopes their marriage will work out when things calm down. It should be noted that her divorce petition asks for spousal support but not child support.

Wonder what Kid Rock thinks about this...maybe Tommy will be the baby's godfather or MAYBE that crazy magician guy that she works with will be her labor coach!

One thing I know is that she won't be having any KFC cravings.

Taken from the 1991 vault of huge hair....

I really thought I looked cute.....seriously.

I know what you are thinking...... David Coverdale of Whitesnake, right?

What are we wearing and why are we posed like that?.....I told you I thought I looked cute.

Is it odd?

Is it odd that Avery eats bananas with a fork and Emmy eats her cereal and milk with her hands?

Reality Faves...

Kat Von D

Rumor is that she is pregnant....not true!
2nd season of LA Ink premiers tonight on TLC at 10pm....more reality TV love!

Totally Ironic....

I just ordered this book (The Sneaky Chef) TODAY with the intention of sharing recipes from both books....I guess that they are pretty similar. As long as the kids eat the food, its all good...

Cookbook Author Sues Jessica and Jerry Seinfeld for Copyright Infringement and Defamation
NEW YORK, Jan. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Attorneys for Missy Chase Lapine, author of "The Sneaky Chef," today filed a lawsuit against Jessica Seinfeld and Jerry Seinfeld for copyright and trademark infringement and defamation in Federal District Court in New York.
The lawsuit alleges that Jessica Seinfeld blatantly plagiarized Ms. Lapine's book, "The Sneaky Chef: Simple Strategies for Hiding Healthy Foods in Kids' Favorite Meals," a critically-acclaimed and commercially successful cookbook with an innovative approach to improving children's eating habits. "The Sneaky Chef" shows parents how to, among other things, camouflage purees of carefully selected fruits and vegetables as ingredients in less healthy foods that kids like, such as cheeseburgers, pizza and brownies. Running Press Books, an imprint of Perseus Books, published "The Sneaky Chef" in April, 2007, generating positive reviews and quickly becoming a New York Times bestseller.
Six months later, in October, 2007, Jessica Seinfeld released a substantially similar book, "Deceptively Delicious: Simple Secrets to Getting Your Kids Eating Good Food."
Prior to the publication of "Deceptively Delicious," Ms. Lapine saw promotional material and alerted her publisher to the striking similarities between the two books, including cover art, subtitles, structure, design and overall look and feel. Running Press, seeking to prevent any violation of Ms. Lapine's rights, brought the striking similarities to the attention of Jessica Seinfeld's publisher. Jessica Seinfeld's publisher, which had earlier reviewed and passed up a book proposal by Ms. Lapine, nonetheless published the book with only insignificant changes. The lawsuit lists detailed examples of identical language in the two books.
At the same time, Jerry Seinfeld went on a malicious campaign against Ms. Lapine, publicly calling her a "nut job" and "hysterical." On an appearance on 'Late Show with David Letterman' in October 2007, Mr. Seinfeld called Ms. Lapine a "wacko" who had been "waiting in the woodwork" for a chance to attack the Seinfelds. He also asserted, incorrectly, that the two books came out "at the same time." The lawsuit cites several examples of defamatory language by Mr. Seinfeld, apparently intended to intimidate Ms. Lapine.
"This action for copyright and trademark infringement and defamation arises from conduct that gives new meaning to the terms 'arrogance' and 'greed,'" states the lawsuit.
The lawsuit also points out that Ms. Lapine is the former publisher of Eating Well magazine, is on the faculty of the New School and has extensive experience in child nutrition. She also serves on the Children's Advisory Council of Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of New York-Presbyterian, where "The Sneaky Chef" recipes are used with pediatric patients.
The lawsuit also notes that Ms. Lapine began researching methods for getting children to eat healthier foods five years before her book came out. She conducted numerous taste tests, focus groups and interviews, consulting extensively with leading nutritionists, pediatricians and chefs.
Ms. Lapine is represented by Marc E. Kasowitz and Mark P. Ressler of Kasowitz, Benson, Torres & Friedman, LLP.

Lunch

Chunky tuna salad on wheat bulkie roll

I don't measure.....

2 cans tuna
chopped celery...I like a lot
chopped raw carrots
1/4 chopped red onion
handful chopped nuts (today I had cashews)
2 spoonfuls chilled, pureed butternut squash (I made a lot, so I decided to throw it in!)
mayo
pepper
Adobo seasoning

*you can add almost anything....I love it crunchy!

mix tuna and Adobo (or any spice to take away the fishy taste)....add everything EXCEPT mayo and pepper....mix....add mayo to desired texture....last add some pepper.
Serve on roll or salad.....yummy!!

Simple Artichoke prep

I think I can handle this....

To prepare artichokes: Wash and trim stem so artichoke stands upright.
Cut off top quarter of artichoke; if desired, snip tips off remaining petals with kitchen scissors.
Stand prepared artichoke in deep saucepan or pot with 3inches of boiling water.
Oil, lemon juice, and seasonings may be added to cooking water, if desired.
Cover and boil gently, checking water level occasionally, 25 to 40 minutes depending upon size or until a petal near the center pulls out easily.

pull apart and serve with a dip.

New things...

So, with some of us trying to "hide" veggies in foods that one wouldn't expect veggies to be....I want to join the efforts.
I have placed my order on Amazon and await the arrival of my copy of "The Sneaky Chef: Simple Strategies for Hiding Healthy Foods in Kids Favorite Meals" by Missy Chase Lapine...I figured I could trade recipes with some of the Moms reading "Deceptively Delicious" byJessica Seinfeld.
I tried improvising a little and made blueberry muffins (prepackaged)....but I added lots of fresh blueberries and pureed butternut squash and the girls loved them!
I made a lot of squash, so I added some to DJ's mac and cheese (a favorite SNACK for a 13 year old!) and he had no clue...passed that test!

I have to report that last night I made a garlic, chicken, pasta and broccoli dish and added tons of mushrooms to my red sauce.....I NEVER cook with or eat mushrooms, but I resolved to try new things, so I did it!
It was good, I am still not a huge mushroom fan, but I ate the meal and may attempt it again with hopes of acquiring a taste. Maybe if I dice them smaller......

I picked up an artichoke at the market.....any ideas how to prepare or incorporate this into a meal??

Off to google it.....
